No. I don’t hate you. I don’t think that you’re undeserving of it. I don’t doubt that you’ll do a great job. Truth is, I’m envious of you- envious that you didn’t give up after all the times I rose to the occasion and you fell beneath me. You dealt with failure and disappointment so well. You were never boastful, either, which made it especially shocking. I’m jealous by how much you’ve grown- how daring you were to crawl out of your shell and how big your personality has gotten. You overcame your insecurities. You meant it when you said that you wouldn’t let the judgements of others get to you. You were determined and fought for what you were passionate about. Deep down, I’m proud of you. It just hurts a little knowing that you’re going to get to live one of my biggest dreams of which I never had enough strength or persistence to pursue.
